Kelly Stachura Photography was founded on the simple premise that great dance photography requires a comprehensive knowledge of both dance and photography. Kelly has studied a variety of movement-based art forms, including classical ballet, modern, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and yoga, for over 20 years.
Kelly has worked with a diverse group of personal and professional clients, including Women in Aviation International, Atonement Lutheran Church, Midwest Dance Collective, Barrington High School’s Performing Arts Department, Ballet Theatre of Illinois, Dance Academy of Libertyville, Bataille Academie of the Danse, Libertyville High School, Terpsichore Dance Ensemble, and Barrington Youth Dance Ensemble. She has had the pleasure of working with dancers from San Francisco Ballet, The Juilliard School, Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, River North Chicago Dance Company, Amy Marshall Dance Company, American Ballet Theatre, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, among others. Kelly has also photographed at Fashion Week in New York City.
For over 10 years, Kelly has been able to blend her passions for dance and photography though both commercial and artistic venues. She has been included in such prestigious exhibitions as "Young American Artists" in Bialystok, Poland, "Ship of Fools" in Australia, and "Spring Salon" in New York City. Her work resides in several permanent collections including William Rainey Harper College’s Educational Foundation Art Collection, The Art Collection of McHenry County College, and the Joan Flasch Artists’ Book Collection. Kelly is also actively involved in the greater arts community. She has installed exhibitions of work by local, national, and international artists at such notable institutions at the Chicago Cultural Center, SOFA Chicago, Art Chicago, Art Basel Miami, Next Art Fair, International Antiques Fair, the Chicago Art Open, and the Museum of Science and Industry Chicago.
Kelly’s passion for the arts has driven her to be an advocate for the arts in her home town. She has been a founding member of the Barrington Area Library’s Arts Advisory Committee since its inception in 2006, and she is currently serving as Co-Curator for the Barrington Area Library’s Gallery in the Library. She is excited to offer a public forum for the arts in Barrington that recognizes the talents of artists within our community, and she works tirelessly to provide a museum-quality exhibition space to make their works accessible to a wider audience.
More important than all of the achievements and accolades, Kelly Stachura Photography is dedicated to bringing you the highest levels of quality, commitment, and customer service. We are passionate about our work, and we extend that passion through everything we do.
